Why Adoption?

My husband and I have been together now for 17 years (married for 13). We have always wanted to adopt. Even in high school I (Heather) told him I wanted a big family and that one day I would also love to adopt. He grew up in a family with 4 siblings, so 5 total kids. I (Heather) grew up with one brother. We have experienced having biological children of our own, and we feel now it is time to search for our forever child through adoption. We want to love unconditionally, and provide a home for a child that needs a fun loving family. We have plenty of room in our home and our hearts, so praying and waiting for the right fit, is what we are doing. We are also a licensed foster family which has given our children the experience of loving and including others who need us most. Our children have exceeded our expectations in loving these little children like they are their siblings. We have had two placements. While it is the most rewarding thing in the world, saying goodbye is beyond difficult, and we would love to welcome in a child we know will be staying with us for forever!
